2008 Performance

As you can see from this chart, 2008 has seen a substantial fall in the value of my Investments. My Margin Loaned Investments have fallen by 40% while my Allocated Pension amount has fallen a far more modest 8%. This is mainly unrealised losses.

This is my Financial Returns in % terms. I have only had the Allocated Pension for 3 years. From the Margin loan Return you need to deduct the cost of the margin loan which approximately covers 50% of assets held so a net return would be about 5% lower than these gross figures

After such a large pull back in August I have finished the Quarter with income exceeding expenses ( including personal expenditure ). This is a surprise as at the bottom of the pull back I was in the red over $30,000.
